Teltarif.de reported that on the 23rd of June, there were problems with Telefonica Germany’s discount MVNO brand Fonic. Users were reportedly not able either to make voice calls, or access the internet or send and receive text messages.
Customers had stated that their mobile screens showed a message that no network reception was available, while attempts to switching off and restarting the handset brought created an error message that the SIM was invalid.
Some customers reported that they received a message stating that network access was restricted because of a switch of server and that they should switch off and then restart their handsets after 30 minutes.
