The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has published its latest stats with the total number of Dutch mobile customers using an MVNO has risen to 8.1%, an increase of 1.9% during the last the six months totalling 8.1 million, which is equivalent to 39.5% of the Dutch mobile market.

4.7 million customers used MVNO brands, which are incidentally co-owned by the mobile network operators.
According to a report from Telecompaper, Independent MVNOs counted 3.35 million customers or 16.5% of the total Dutch mobile market, up from 16.0% in Q3 2012,
The total number of active MVNOs in The Netherlands, which including co-owned MVNOs, was 66 at the end of Q1 2013.
52 were independent MVNO brands and 14 were co-owned.
The dutch market is a competitive and crowded market, with six new companies launching services, while five have closed and each operator is trying new tactics to drive their business, by adding new VAS services and or bundling existing ones.
