In May 2013, Truphone announced that they would be conducting network upgrades and now the MVNO has been migrating its customers to the upgraded network, which will be active from September 7th.
The move to the new network will take place on September 7th and should last no more than 48 hours, during which time the service should operate as normal, however top-ups or “some parts” of the account will no function until the move is complete.
The new network will boast “improved quality” as well as “improved reliability” and “improved service” according to the email, which we’ve copied below:
At Truphone, we’re constantly improving our global mobile network. In fact, we’ve just finished a series of improvements and will soon move your account to our enhanced network.
See email Statement:
The transfer will take place on 09/07/2013 and will take 48 hours to complete.
Here’s a quick reminder of the improvements you’ll see once the transfer is complete.
- Improved quality – technical enhancements that provide greater clarity on all calls
- Improved reliability – improvements to the network will ensure more reliable coverage
- Improved service – global customer service will ensure we can help you wherever you are
We’re looking forward to moving your account and would like to thank you for your patience as we do.
