~ In-store calls now offered for the remainder of the week to help friends and family reach loved ones
SAN DIEGO, — To help those with family and friends affected by the recent tropical storms inMexico, Cricket is extending today’s “Free Calls to Mexico” offer through the remainder of the week. Today through Sunday, September 22, visitors need to simply visit a company-owned Cricket Wireless store near them1 during regular business hours and ask a representative how to make the free call.
Cricket originally offered free calls to Mexico today only to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. But with many people in Mexico unable to receive calls today due to the storms, Cricket is extending the offer through the remainder of the week to help customers reach those they care about.
“Today was planned as a day of celebration, but we have learned that many of our customers can’t reach their loved ones inMexico today due to the aftermath of Tropical Storms Manuel and Ingrid,” said Dave Wasby, vice president voice and data services for Cricket. “We hope that providing and extending this free service will help our customers and their friends and family reach those most important to them at a difficult time.”
