Barbados, MVNO, Ozone Wireless
Local daily Nation News reports that New Barbados MVNO Ozone Wireless is set to launch commercial 4G services on 17 July. The MVNO uses a 700MHZ licence acquired in 2014 by resident French Canadian owner Pierre McMaster and will initially cover 31 mobile sites across Barbados. Ozone Wireless will offer “attractive data packages and flexible contracts with no long-term commitment” in a bid to compete with rivals Flow and Digicel.
Cable & Wireless Communications subsidiary Flow officially activated its 4G LTE service in March hot on the heels of Digicel’s 4G launch back in October.
